KgabisoPalesa Cares (KP Cares) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people and transforming communities. Founded by Kgabiso Sephai, we invest in the next generation of leaders, providing health, education, and lifelong learning opportunities to youth ages 3 to 35. We envision a future where every young person has the tools and support needed to reach their full potential and drive positive change. Programs

We are a group of dedicated, compassionate individuals driven by the belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our expertise lies in providing holistic support to youth, focusing on health, education, and lifelong learning opportunities.

  • Renewable Energy Skills Development (REfSED)

    The Renewable Energy for Socio Economic Development (REfSED) programme provides renewable energy interventions focused on solving community challenges related to energy security, skills development and job creation. Through the programme, youth candidates are trained on energy efficiency and solar PV/Battery Storage fundamentals.

    The programme was developed and is currently delivered as a response to the critical need for growing skills in technical sectors, specialized sectors and labour-intensive sectors that will enable the absorption of youth in sustainable job opportunities. Our focus is on the green economy sector, as we are convinced that it is one of the sectors that has great potential for driving meaningful participation by youth.

    The programme is delivered in partnership with TVET colleges as delivery centres.

  • Green Economy Skills Placement

    After successfully completing the REfSED skills development programme, KP Cares dedicates themselves to ensuring that the candidates are placed in a proper working environment through the Green Economy Skills Placement (GE-SP) programme.

    The programme is delivered in partnership with Industry Partners as the host companies. To date, 40 candidates have been successfully placed with host companies, with a 50% permanent absorption.

  • Green Economy Enterprise Development Incubation Programme

    The Green Economy Enterprise Development Incubation (GE-ED) programme provides renewable energy interventions focused on solving community challenges related to energy security, job creation and enterprise development. Through the programme SMMEs are developed and capacitated to participate in the Green Economy.

  • Adopt-a-Scholar Programme

    Adopt-a-Scholar is a scholarship program to enable beneficiaries from disadvantaged backgrounds to receive financial aid towards their academic and other related expenses. The programme is delivered in partnership with schools and parents.

  • Pledge-a-Pad Programme

    Pledge-a-Pad is a sanitary care program to support girls at school on a monthly basis to enable them to not miss a day of school due to a period. The programme is delivered in partnership with schools.
